Odd and Even Craps

Odd and Even are two single-roll side bets for casino craps, perfect for beginners and expert crapshooters alike.

How To Play

  1. At any time, the player may wager on either an Odd or Even area.  They could wager on both, but like roulette, you can’t come out ahead this way so this should be discouraged.  Wagers should be made in multiples of $5.  Two layout options are provided, one which adds extra wagering areas within reach of all players and another which replaces the Big 6 and Big 8 bets.
  2. If the player bets Odd and the next roll comes 5, 7, 9, or 11, the player wins even money.  If the next roll comes 3, that is, Odd Craps, the player wins 4-to-5.  If the next roll is even, the Odd bet loses.
  3. If the player bets Even and the next roll comes 4, 6, 8, or 10, the player wins even money.  If the next roll comes 2 or 12, that is, Even Craps, the player wins 4-to-5.  If the next roll is odd, the Even bet loses.
  4. If the player bets in other than multiples of $5, the house will round down and keep any fractional win.  Breakage rules vary by jurisdiction.
  5. That’s it — it really is that simple!
Quick Facts
The Odd and Even Craps bets ...
  • are great for players. Both bets have a house edge of 1.11% and win exactly 50% of the time. That's a better win frequency and lower house edge than virtually other bet on the table (not counting lay bets or free odds bets).
  • are intuitive, one-roll wagers that make it easy for a beginner to play without worrying about what the bets mean. Everyone knows what "odd" and "even" mean, so now anyone can be a craps player without having to take lessons first.
  • are also great for your pit. Even though they have the lowest edge on the table, they can earn double the win of the hardway and passline bets.
  • are approved for play in Nevada and Mississippi.
  • are protected by U.S. Patent No. 7,377,513.
