| | The corners of your craps tables just got a lot more interesting!
Odd and Even are two new single-roll side bets for casino craps.
The rest of the game stays the same, but instead of the seldom-used Big 6 and 8
(or the blank spot where they used to be), there are two new wagering areas, one
for Odd and one for Even.
How To Play
- At any time, the player may wager any multiple of $5 on either the Odd
or Even box. (Just like roulette, betting on both at the same
time is not recommended!)
- If the player bets Odd and the next roll comes 5, 7, 9, or 11, the
player wins even money. If the roll comes 3 (Odd craps), the player wins
4-5. If the roll comes Even, the player loses.
- If the player bets Even and the next roll comes 4, 6, 8, or 10, the
player wins even money. If the roll comes 2 or 12 (Even craps), the
player wins 4-5. If the roll comes Odd, the player loses.
- As with many bets, if the player bets in other than $5 multiples the house
will round down and keep any fractional win.
- There aren't any more details -- it really is that simple!
Key Benefits and Facts
- Odd and Even are great for dice players: both
bets have a 1.11% house edge and exactly a 50% chance of winning.
Let's compare these bets to several others: The Field bet has a
2.78% edge and a 44.4% chance of winning, and the Big 6 and 8 each have
a 9.09% edge and a 45.5% chance of winning. Odd
and Even are simply better wagers on both accounts, and that's a
big win for your players.
- Odd and Even are also great for your dice pit:
even though they have the lowest edge on the table, their monthly win can outperform the hardways by 100%
and even make over 150%
more than the passline.
